I am such a huge Michael Clayton fan. I've had this quote from the movie stuck in my head for days, and I knew it was time. I watched the movie for about the 5th time tonight. Every time I watch it, I learn something different. Tonight is no exception.
SPOILER ALERT
For example, tonight I was trying to figure out what happens when a client of your firm gets busted for attempted murder on you - while you are in the line of duty. I mean, what does this do to your employment contract?
And if you cooperate with the police to bust the client for attempted murder? What then?
And if your employer had given you an advance based on a three year contract? That you hadn't signed yet?
And you've got absolutely no funds to fall back on. You own nothing. You're not a partner so you don't even have equity in the firm so they can buy you out.
My mind is going to be playing out scenarios around this for a while. Should be fun.
